Bromsgrove Sporting to play the biggest match in their history at 3pm today

BROMSGROVE Sporting FC will play the biggest game in its history today (Saturday) when it takes on Bristol Manor Farm in the last 16 of the FA Vase.

More than 850 tickets have already been sold and Sporting are hoping to break their record attendance of 924 which came in last year’s top-of-the-table clash with Coventry United in Midland League Division One where Bromsgrove won 4-2.

It is hoped the game may even be the biggest attendance at the Victoria Ground since September 28, 2002 when 1,150 fans watched the now defunct Bromsgrove Rovers lose 2-1 to Tamworth in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Club officials have urged anyone attending to get to the Victoria Ground at 2.45pm the latest to avoid a rush at the turnstiles.

Our sports reporter Craig Gibbons will be at the game and will be doing live tweets from 2.30pm and throughout the match.
