THE ANNUAL Concert by Candlelight at St Laurence Church in Alvechurch will take place at 7.30pm next Friday (December 2).
The Midland Sinfonia will take to the stage to perform music by Corelli, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Handel and Neruda, with the trumpet concerto played by Anthony Thompson – one of the best trumpeters in the north of England.
The splendid seasonal event sees the audience sit in the church bathed in candlelight, providing the perfect setting and start to the festive season.
