FANS of the Great British Bake Off will be in their element when Bromsgrove’s very own culinary queen invites journalists to compete in the Birmingham Press Club’s Curry Cook Off Challenge.
The event at the Harborne Food School’s Clocktower on Thursday (November 17) launched the contest in 2014.
Anita, 49, will demonstrate her culinary skills for contestants who will then recreate the exact same dish.
Press Club chairman and former ITV newsreader Llewela Bailey and her team won the cup in 2014 and returns this year, along with Press Club vice-president John Lamb, ITV business correspondent and news presenter Mark Gough.
Anita said: “Cooking is a fun and creative experience and continues to be more and more popular – thanks to the wealth of cookery programmes now on TV.”
The winning team will receive the cup and signed copies of Anita’s book A Life of Spice, written in honour of her mum Raksha.
It is also raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
