CHRISTMAS is a special time for us all, as we take the opportunity to spend time with our friends and family.
But it is also a time to remember people who may not be as fortunate and are spending the festive season alone, homeless or even serving our country.
And it also marks the end of one year as prepare to welcome in a new one.
As a council we have a lot to look forward to in 2015.
We have already seen the High Street regeneration project come into play and next year we can look forward to the development of the Parkside area and the progression of the railway improvements for the district.
The planting of the first tree of our new arboretum was also a highlight of my year as it will be in our Sanders Park for many generations to come.
On that note I want to wish you all your best Christmas yet, whatever you are doing, and may you all enjoy a healthy and happy 2015!
