TOMORROW’S ‘Balsam Bash’ organised by the Lickey Hills Society has been cancelled because of the extreme heat.
The Met Office has in place an Amber Heat Health alert and high temperatures are being forecast.
Because of this and because of high levels of humidity, the group feels the working conditions for removing Himalayan Balsam would be challenging and potentially dangerous.
“With these factors in mind, it was felt that the only course of action was to cancel the session,” they added.
