RESIDENTS WANTING to know more about proposals for up to 240 new homes and green spaces on land at St Godwalds Road can attend an overview by the house-builder, writes Neil Gordon.

Persimmon Homes will be giving the overview this evening (Wednesday, May 27) at Salwarpe Village Hall, during the parish council meeting of Hampton Lovett with Westwood parish council.

The meeting starts at 6.45pm and will provide attendees with the opportunity to discover more on proposals for the development at St Godwalds Road, Finstall.

Attendees will also be able to ask questions about the scheme.

The address of Salwarpe Village Hall is Copcut Lane, Worcestershire, WR9 0AH.

It comes amidst the 240 new homes and green spaces being proposed on land at St Godwalds Road, Finstall, by developer Persimmon Homes.

The housebuilder issued details of its proposals which include new properties, a landscaped led layout, extensive public open spaces, improved walking and cycling connections and ecological enhancements.

A new access from St Godwalds Road is also planned which would be designed to meet Worcestershire County Council highway standards.

Details of the proposals are contained in a letter issued by the developer which states: “Persimmon Homes South Midlands is bringing forward proposals for a new sustainable community at land at St Godwalds Road, Finstall.

“The plans would deliver new homes, extensive public open space and ecological enhancements to help address Bromsgrove’s significant housing need.

“The council identified the Site as most of proposed housing allocation BRM03 (300 dwellings) in the Bromsgrove Draft Development Strategy published last summer.

“The site is well connected to local facilities, including Bromsgrove Railway Station, schools, shops and nearby sports clubs.”
