BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC moved away from the relegation zone after securing a 3-1 victory over struggling Kings Heath Rangers, writes Neil Gordon.

Bailey Depper-Gwilliams and Jack Dawkins put the Greens in command before the interval, while Ash Pardoe added a third during the second-half after Rangers had pulled one back at Eldorado Close.

The result sees Bromsgrove move up to seventh in Division One of the Birmingham and District Football League, on seven points from seven games, while opponents Rangers drop to bottom of the table.

Bromsgrove have as many as six games in hand as they now commence on a run of eight league fixtures in 24 days during April, including four midweek games, in order to clear their fixture backlog.

Elsewhere in Division One, leaders Sutton United suffered their first league defeat of the season losing 3-2 at Desi, while previous basement side Hollyfields moved off the bottom with a 2-1 victory over fourth-placed North Solihull.

Bromsgrove play Silhill at Sharmans Cross Road on Thursday, April 2. Kick-off is 6pm and admission free.
