THERE will be plenty of tidies going on in Rubery, Rednal and Frankley as part of this year’s Great British Spring Clean.

The efforts in the B45 postcoded areas are being led by The Rubery Wombles who have pledged to rid the areas of more than 50 bags of rubbish.

At 9.30am next Friday, March 13, the group will be at the back of the Rubery Flyover, including the woods leading to Parkway.

And at 7am next Saturday, March 14, the first part of Egghill Lane, Frankley, will be tidied from the junction of Frogmill Road.

At 9.30am on March 20, the woods at the back of Morrisons in Rubery Great Park will be given a spring clean and at 9.30am on March 21, attention will be turned to St Chad’s Park and New Road.

The group will be getting together at 9.30am on March 24 in Frogmill Walk, Frankley, and at 9.30am on March 26 at the Doweries and Cock Hill Lane.

And the final litterpick will take place at 7am on March 27 when the second part of Egg Hill Lane will be spruced up from the junction of Frankley Hill Lane.

Equipment and black bags will be provided for each of the clean-ups which everyone is welcome to.
