BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC endured more disappointment at the weekend after their league fixture against North Solihull fell victim to the weather, writes Neil Gordon.
The Greens were due to play Solihull in their first Birmingham and District Football League Division One fixture since November on Saturday, January 24.
However, the club’s Eldorado Close pitch was deemed waterlogged following heavy rainfall.
Bromsgrove have slipped to bottom of the Division One table following cup commitments and other recent weather-related postponements.
Rovers now have as many as five games in hand on other teams.
And Rovers run of home fixtures continues with Kawala next up in the second round of the Holder Cup.
This is followed by a home game against FC Stratford on league duty.
Meanwhile, the club’s reserve team lost 4-0 to high-flying Birmingham University Medics B. The result leaves the side ninth in Division Four on 10 points.
Bromsgrove entertain Kawala on Saturday, January 31, at Eldorado Close. Kick-off is 2pm and admission free.
