TOM Sadler scored another hat-trick as Bromsgrove RFC produced a late comeback to secure a bonus point 38-29 victory against Burton.
Sadler’s hat-trick try completed the turnaround on 78 minutes after Ben Tibbetts’ try started the comeback with eight minutes left to play at Finstall Park.
And Jordan Maddocks dotted down at the death to deny Burton a losing bonus point after Oliver Ingram touched down for the Boars in the first half.
The result means Bromsgrove sit third in the Regional 1 Midlands table, 13 points behind leaders Syston with a game in-hand.
Bromsgrove returned to the pitch for the first time in almost a month and fell behind after just five minutes as Burton scored the game’s first try.
However, the Boars responded when Ingram crossed for a try on the quarter-hour mark.
And Sadler dived over the line with 30 minutes on the clock to put Bromsgrove into the lead.
Burton reduced the deficit before the interval with a penalty as the Boars took a two-point lead into the break.
The Boars made a blistering start to the second period as Sadler stretched out to score his second try of the game straight from the kick-off.
However, the game turned in the away side’s favour as Burton scored three tries in the space of 12 minutes to take a 12-point lead.
Bromsgrove kept themselves in the contest on 72 minutes after Tibbetts sold a dummy and touched down.
And Sadler completed his hat-trick two minutes from time to take his tally to 21 tries for the season and put the Boars back in front.
Maddocks also dotted down from the restart to prevent Burton from claiming a losing bonus point.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Syston on Saturday, January 25 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Finstall Park.
