TWO PEOPLE have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Northfield.
Countless emergency service vehicles arrived on the scene following a collision involving a car and pedestrians near the junction of Frankley Beeches Road and Sir Herbert Austin Way, Northfield.
It happened just before 1pm today (Monday, December 16) and two people, a man and a women, were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and will now be questioned by police.
The road is likely to remain closed for some time and West Midlands Police are asking people to avoid the area where possible.
