AUDIENCES were delighted by the Jigsaw Players Theatre Company’s murder mystery ‘Something’s Afoot’ which was staged last month at Lickey End Social Club.

The musical which spoofs popular detective stories, was by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd and Concord Theatricals Company and offered a weekend of malice, mayhem, mystery and murder.

The main story spoofed is Agatha Christie’s famous 1939 detective novel ‘And Then There Were None’.

The production is centred on a group of people who are invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour.

When the wealthy lord is found dead, it is a race against the clock to find out who the murderer is.

The show had a brilliant cast and chorus with a fabulous band under the direction of Chris Corcoran.

Audiences were entertained with three sell-out shows, receiving standout feedback and applause.

The show relies heavily on the set which was designed by Stuart McDonald who spent several months creating and building it.
