Two in hospital after crash in Hagley

TWO PEOPLE have been taken to hospital following a crash in Hagley last night.

The collision, which happened around 8.50pm on the A491 near Western Road, involved a blue Seat Ibiza and a gold Honda motorbike.

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended, along with a crew from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended and the motorcyclist was treated for serious injuries before he was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.

A woman, who was a passenger on the motorbike, had suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was also treated by medics at the scene before being taken to the same hospital.

The driver stopped and was uninjured.




Firefighters made the vehicles and the scene safe.

Police completely closed the A491 northbound and one lane of the southbound carriageway while investigations were carried out. It reopened at 11pm..
