A SPATE of car thefts has hit the south Birmingham area as residents continue to be blighted by key-less car thieves.

On July 24, a silver Land Rover Discovery, with the partial reg XDD, was stolen without keys from Sandhills Road in Barnt Green between 12 noon and 3pm.

Then, overnight between July 25 and 26, a grey Vauxhall Insignia, with the partial reg DHY, was stolen without keys from New Road, Rubery.

The vehicle stolen from Rubery is a taxi and has a taxi plate on the rear of the vehicle and the front windscreen.

West Mercia Police are appealing for information which could help locate the vehicles.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
