PAUL COWIE added to his long list of men’s titles when he defeated Martyn Langston 6-1 6-1 at Barnt Green Tennis Club last weekend.
Cowie was among a number of winners on tennis singles finals day at the club, with Beth Harris adding to her u21 title by landing the ladies final 6-4 6-2 against Victoria Clipsham.
Millie Flynn won the 11 and under and the 16 and under girls titles while Joshua Turner came out on top in the u16 section and Noah Irwin secured the 11 and under event.
Richard Newton retained his u21 title in a close match against Will Scarle as competitors, coaches and supporters enjoyed a day the outdoor bar and barbecue in the sun.
The season officially draws to a close with the doubles finals day on Saturday, September 26, but new members are being encouraged to play throughout the off-season.
