HAT-TRICK hero Chris Adams helps Redditch Town on their way to beating AFC Lions in Division One of the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination.

Town claimed a 3-1 victory at the weekend in one of just two games in the division to move them up to 10th in the table, leapfrogging out of action Redolence Park.

Meanwhile, VKL United sit four points behind Royal Oak Alcester after they were narrowly beaten 1-0 by their opponents.

OKH Sporting are the first team through to the final of the Keith Turner Cup after beating CBH Fasteners 2-1.

Sporting took the lead through Richard Dugmore before Callum Davies levelled the tie on the stroke of half time.

However, Sporting booked their place in the final through Chris Tranter’s looping back post header.

Beoley Village will either meet Red Lion or Winyates Wanderers in the final of the Studley Charity Cup after beating Coldstream 3-2 after extra-time.

Taking advantage of the sloped pitch, Coldstream took a 1-0 lead into the interval but their resistance was broken on the hour mark as Nathan Hurley levelled the tie for Village.

Ten minutes later, Village found themselves 2-1 up after the assistant referee spotted the ball had just crossed over the line.

However, Coldstream fought back and made it 2-2 ten minutes from time to set up a further 30 minutes of football.

With the game heading for a penalty shootout, Village were awarded a penalty five minutes from the end with Sean Meek slotting home with aplomb.

In the Hunt Crane Cup, Lodge Park made it to Round Two following their 5-3 victory over Redolence Park, with Terry Nolan starring after netting four of the five goals.

New Woodland Cottage progressed into Round Three after they narrowly beat Redditch Cross 5-4 in a thrilling nine-goal encounter.

Two goals and assist from Alex Bibb inspired Cottage to victory.

Elsewhere, Black Horse booked their place in the fifth round of the FA National Sunday Cup after securing a 6-2 victory over FC Houghton.

Barnes AFC will be Black Horse’s next opponents on Sunday, February 14.
