High five for Nicol as Austin Ex Apprentices cruise to 15-1 victory

FIVE GOALS from Austin Ex Apprentices’ star man Andy Nicol fired the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination Premier Division leaders to a 15-1 victory over Shakespeare Studley.

Michael McGrath also netted a hat-trick for the Apprentices as Stephen Thorn (2), Chris Tranter (2), Jamie Partridge, Craig Spink and Richard Deeming completed their scoring.

Kyle Tarsell netted a consolation for Studley in the heavy defeat.

New Woodland Cottage continued with their winning ways as they cruised to a 5-0 victory at Redditch Cross thanks to braces from Adam Crombie and Dimitri Wilkinson and one from Ryan Butler.




CBH Fasteners picked up their first three points of the campaign as they ran out 5-2 winners at Golden Cross courtesy of Chris Parish hat-trick and strikes from Gaz Walker and James Morrall.

Mark Wilkes and Nick Cox got on the scoresheet for Cross.


SCC Redolence got their season off to a flying start as they comprehensively beat Lodge Park 6-2.

Tim Lees (3), Paul Jeynes, Dan Bowen and Caan David netted for Redolence; Terry Nolan and Liam Madden for Park.

Beoley Village also continued their 100 per cent start to the new season as they thrashed AFC Lions 5-1 thanks to a double from Sean Meek and one each from Simon Connell, Ryan Richards and Florin Lupu.

Ashley Atkinson replied for Lions.

Elsewhere, South Redditch claimed a narrow 3-2 victory at VKL United.
