AVONCROFT will be hoping to bounce back after suffering a heavy nine-wicket defeat at the hands of Netherton in Division Three of the Worcestershire County League.
Opener Joe Ingle made 54 for the visitors, but he struggled for partners as Sam Hughes, Craig Hughes and Daniel Elliot were the only other batsmen to get into double figures.
Netherton, meanwhile, were in excellent form as they got Avoncroft all out for 137, with Matthew Lowe impressing with figures of 5-41 before easing to victory.
Craig Hughes removed Simon Oseland (3) early on, but the away side failed to kick while Netherton went on the front foot asĀ Lowe (63 not out) and Troy Lee (56 not out) scored the winning runs.
