THE TROPHY cabinet continues to grow at Bromsgrove Tennis Club as they picked up a number of prizes at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire LTA awards evening.
As well as claiming a bagful of awards for individual team performances, members took home the coveted Club Of The Year title for the second time.
Club chairman Steve Jones said he was delighted to secure the prestigious award and praised the hard work of his players and coaches.
“It was a great night for the club,” he said. “I was very proud to see Bromsgrove Tennis Club getting recognition for the great year the juniors have had, the hard work by all the coaches and the performances of all the teams, in particular the ladies who have done brilliantly and the Men in reaching National Division Two of the Aegon Team Tennis.
“We are increasing membership and the club is a great place to play tennis.
“We last won the award in 2013 and to win it again this year is a testament to all the hard work that the club, the committee and all the volunteers have put in.
“We promote tennis for all ages and abilities from beginners to nationally ranked players in the Bromsgrove area and have a great coaching programme that is generating some excellent players.”
