HIZZA United brought home a sixth outside trophy for the Bromsgrove & District League after clinching the Kidderminster Hospital Minor Cup with a 2-1 after extra-time victory over Vine FC.

After falling behind in the 18th minute, United regrouped and levelled two minutes later through Martin Young.

With the scores locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes, United secured the trophy in the second minute of extra-time thanks to Scott Penlington.

In the Premier Division, VBG Fairfield – who have one game remaining – will end the season in second after they claimed a comprehensive 10-1 victory over Belbroughton Athletic.




The Division One title race continues to hot up after second place Bartley Green Illey Sunday moved to within two points of league leaders Northfield Athletic following their 3-0 victory over AFC Northfield.

Connor Collins, Bradley Bullimore and Carl Martin netted for Bartley Green who play the league leaders on Sunday in a title shoot-out.


Chaddesley Corbett eased to a 6-1 victory at Stoke Sporting thanks to a Alex Dugmore hat-trick, Matthew Perry double and strike from Adam Simpson.

Elsewhere, Wychbold RBL secured a 4-0 victory at Spa Athletic to end their campaign in a respectable third place.

Brett Mould, Ciaran Sheehan, Bradley Talbot and Josh Weatherby netted for RBL.

Division Two basement club Bridgfield got their first win of the season in a 14-goal thriller which saw the home side claim a 9-5 victory over Bromsgrove Brentnal.

Luke Hancock and Luke Parker bagged hat-tricks for Bridgfield with Sam Velente (2) and Matthew Davies completing their scoring.

Scott Gaffney (2), Peter Frost, James Hylton and Andrew Lynch got on the scoresheet for Brentnal.

Sporting Club Redditch meanwhile edged past Awkies Allstars 5-3 thanks to goals from Billy Garvey (2), Shaun Maynard, Daniel Sill and John Wakeling.

Arron Tullett, Alex Wesley and Joseph Stewart scored for Allstars.

In Division Three, Arrow Valley boosted their chances of ending the season in third after easing past Stoke Prior 11-0.

Reece Miles (4) and Robert Voice (3) starred for Valley with Alan Beech (2), Alan Fergie and Ben Povey rounding off the scoring.

Chaddesley Corbett Reserves need to win their final game of the season to leapfrog Valley back into third after they slumped to an 8-2 defeat against champions Rubery.

Mitchell Mansfield (3), Paddy Behan (2), Martin Slevin, Ryan Slevin and Ryan Smith got on the scoresheet for Rubery.

Elsewhere, Callowbrook Green Swifts enjoyed a 10-1 victory over AFC Millfields thanks to five goals from Jack Steele, four from James Ward and one from Luke Wyatt.
