BARTLEY GREEN Illey Sunday came from behind to beat Meadow Park to secure their place in the semi-finals of the WA Harris Cup.

Sam Wright had given Park the lead but two goals from Colin Tandy and one from Chris Hickey ensured Bartley Green progressed.

Belbroughton Athletic will meet Bartley Green in the semi-finals of the competition after they claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Rednal Social Club.

Awkies Allstars booked their place in the semi-finals of the Kidderminster Hospital Minor Cup after a resounding 3-0 victory over Prince Albert United thanks to a Jason Gibbons double and one from Michael Ryan.




In the Bromsgrove & District Premier Division, VBG Fairfield’s title hopes took a dent after they were beaten 3-2 by Alcester Town.

Fairfield were also in action midweek where they claimed a 5-1 victory over Studley Railway to reach the semi-finals of the Evesham Hospital Cup.


Laurence Martin (2), Ryan Molseworth, Ellis Blakemore and Daniel Wilkes got on the scorehseet for Fairfield.

The other Premier Division fixture saw Oak Tree Sporting secure a 2-1 victory over Rubery Athletic.

Jack Berry netted for Athletic.

Division One leaders Northfield Athletic slipped up in their bid to secure the title as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Wychbold RBL with Jason Cowley netting for Athletic.

Meanwhile, Sporting Rednal moved up to third following their 3-1 victory over Stoke Sporting courtesy of Anton Gardner-Bennett, Lee Crook and Daniel Wright.

Division Two leaders Rednal Social Club dropped points in their charge for the title after being held to a 3-3 draw by Hizza United in midweek.

Bradley Murrihy, Sam Brownhill and Oliver Pugh got on the scoresheet for Rednal.

Hizza United also played on Sunday as they romped to a comprehensive 6-0 victory at Bromsgrove Brentnal while the other game of the day saw Sporting Club Redditch put Woodgate Valley to the sword in an 8-0 victory.

Billy Garvey (3), Shaun Maynard (2), Tom Higgins, Daniel Sill and Joseph Shaw netted in the victory.

Division Three leaders Rubery FC maintained their title push with a more than comfortable 10-1 victory over FC Bromsgrove thanks to four goals from Brogan Halpin, two from Paddy Behan and one apiece for Ryan Slevin, Ryan Casey, Sean Donovan and Aaron Draper.

Bromsgrove Corinthians secured a comfortable 6-2 victory over Chaddesley Corbett Reserves.

Tom Mason (2), Tommy Thompson, Alex Beck, Edward Tear and Josh Harris Jones scored for Corinthians; Gary Moriaty and Anthony Ward for Chaddesley.

Callowbrook Swifts Green enjoyed a 7-4 victory over Laburnum to consolidate their second place position while Stoke Sporting Reserves edged past AFC Millfields 2-1 thanks to goals from Tom Nicholson and Adam Ravenscroft.

Ryan Wood replied for Millfields.

Elsewhere, Rubery Juniors played a friendly against King’s Heath and lost 1-0.
