BARNT GREEN A’s second-pair lost a third set tiebreak as they felt they unlucky to lost to Bromsgrove emerge with a 3-1 loss in Division One of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire League.
Barnt Green first pair of James Flynn and Paul Cowie had a match of two halves as they dominated the first rubber against the second pair to win comfortably, but were handsomely beaten by the first pair in the second rubber.
Meanwhile, second pair of Paul Bill and Greg Hunt were outplayed by the first pair and were extremely close to securing a valuable draw for Barnt Green losing a third set tie-break to leave the A team struggling towards the bottom of the division after three fixtures.
Barnt Green Mixed B team’s match was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
