Yoga lovers to boost Daniel Speed campaign

YOGA lovers have been invited to join in a sun salutation to raise money for the Daniel Speed Campaign.

South Birmingham instructor Jon Moult will be joined by more than 60 people when he leads the sponsored event at the Abbey Stadium, in Redditch, tomorrow (Saturday), between 12.30pm and 5pm.

It takes around an hour and half and is a sequence of ten moves which, together with breathing techniques, create the vinyasa.

The money raised from the day will be used to help five-year-old Daniel fulfil his dream to walk.

The youngster, who featured on the front page of the Bromsgrove Standard last month, needs to raise £10,000 to pay for specialist equipment and treatments, which are not paid for by the NHS.

Jon said he saw Daniel’s picture on the front page and decided he wanted to help before even reading the story.

“I will be ecstatic if I can help Daniel – everything we can raise is a bonus – this is all about helping Daniel reach his dream to be able to play football with his friends,” he added.

Visit www.ashtanga-jon.com or call the Abbey Stadium on 01527 60206 for more information.

Residents can also visit www.justgiving.com/danielswishtowalk to donate to Daniel’s cause.
