POLICE are on the hunt for a man who stole food and toys from an animal charity.

Wythall Animal Sanctuary on Middle Lane was broken into between 6.02pm and 6.08pm and items which had been donated by the public were taken from a storage container.

Police believe the culprit loaded the good into a red Volkswagen with the registration DX13 LNM. He was a white man of a slim build between 30 and 40-years-old. He had dark coloured hair with back and sides shaved and was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacket and black trainers.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or who has any information is urged to contact the police on the non emergency 101 number or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
