A WOMAN was trampled on by a horse and seriously injured in Dodford last night (Thursday).
It is believed the woman was leading the animal down Fockbury Mill Lane when it became spooked, knocked her over and bolted.
Emergency services were called about 6.45pm to find the woman with serious facial, head and shoulder injuries.
She was given emergency treatment by the ambulance crew before she was immobilised with a spinal board and neck collar.
The woman was then taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Birmingham, by an ambulance with a trauma doctor and paramedic.
The crew were also joined by an air ambulance and a MERIT Trauma team.
The horse was found safe and well by the time the ambulance crews left the scene.
