A KATE Bush tribute night at Artrix certainly had the Wow factor for one couple after fan Andy Hulme popped the question to his girlfriend live on stage.

And, when the Hounds of Love came calling, Annette Reeves was soon Running up that Aisle to say yes to the proposal.

Andy, unbeknown to the audience and Annette, left his seat and appeared on stage, disguised in a hat, mask and coat.

At the end of the song he took off the garments and, when Annette joined him, he got down on one knee, got out an engagement ring and asked her to marry him.

To Andy’s relief and to the delight of the audience she said yes and rapturous applause broke out among the capacity crowd.

After the show lead singer Maaike Beijman and her band joined the couple and their friends for a celebratory party where messages of congratulations were passed on and photographs were taken.

An Artrix spokesperson said: “That was the first time anyone has proposed here – we would like to wish Andy and Annette every happiness.”
