A WOMAN has been assaulted in a pub in Bromsgrove and suffered head injures.

Karina Wykes was on a night out with friends on Saturday (April 2) at The Grove pub on the High Street when she said another woman came up to her and pushed her into the wall cutting her head open.

She said: “The woman came over to me and just shoved me into the wall because they have a feud with one of my friends and I just got dragged into it.”

Police and an ambulance were called to the scene and the 22-year-old was advised to go to hospital on the night of the incident but waited until the next day to visit the Alexandra Hospital where she said they gave her three stitches for her head wound.

The attacker is also a woman in her 20s and police are now appealing for witnesses who saw what happened.

They are urging anyone with information to contact them on the non emergency 101 number or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
