Woman in her 70s robbed outside Rubery charity shop

 A WOMAN in her 70s was robbed outside a charity shop in Rubery.

The incident happened at 9.30am this morning (Friday) outside the Acorns shop on New Road when the woman was approached by two men.

One was black, in his early 20s and rode a bike in front of her and the other, who was white and also in his early 20s  walked behind her.

The man on the bike asked her for the time and then tried to take her handbag.

The second man pushed her and then she was punched in the face by both men who took her bag which contained cash and personal items.




Both men had their hoods up during the attack.

The woman suffered facial injuries and needed hospital treatment.
