A FAMILY charity is bringing their cause to Bromsgrove this weekend and things will be getting even hotter when a daring firewalk takes place.
Rob and Maggie Underwood from the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundations are hosting the firewalk and family fun day at Catshill Social Club on Sunday (August 28) to raise money for defibrillators.
The pair started the cause after both their son and daughter suffered sudden heart attacks due to a rare condition.
The family now work to install defibrillators in as many schools, churches and public spaces as possible. But at a cost of at least £1,000 each they need to raise as much money as possible.
Among those taking part on Sunday will be Bromsgrove Standard sales representative Louise Hillman, Sarah Barrass from the Redditch Standard and Tammy Farrington and Sade Williams from our Solihull Observer.
There is still time for people to take part – the walk starts at 2pm and costs just £20.
Rob said: “The more people we can get to take part the more benefit it will be to Bromsgrove.
“There are still a few schools in the town which don’t have them and they are so important”
