GENEROUS customer donations at Webbs Garden Centres have raised over £5,000 towards naming and raising a new puppy for the Guide Dogs charity.

Over the last year a number of donations have given Webbs the opportunity to sponsor a puppy for the first year of the dog’s life.

This will be the third puppy Webbs has sponsored, following on from Webster and Wooster who have already changed the lives of blind and partially sighted people.

Webbs chairman Ed Webb said; “It’s fantastic that, once again, the generosity of customers will significantly improve the quality of life of a blind or partially sighted person.”

Alison Waterer, who works for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, thanked staff and customers for raising funds to sponsor a third guide dog puppy, and added that it was a truly fantastic achievement.

The puppy will be cared for by a volunteer puppy walker.
