Warning to drivers over flooding in Bromsgrove

DRIVERS across Bromsgrove have been warned to take care on the roads after reports of flooding in some parts of the town.

The Standard has been contacted by motorists, especially about the Kidderminster Road, St John Street and Market Street.

One frustrated commuter told The Standard the roads near his home were the worst he had ever seen.

“The entrance to Sanders Park traditionally flash floods but I have never seen it this bad.

“There was at least a foot and half of standing water on the road, cars could pass but everyone must have been delayed getting to work or school.

“It normally takes me 15 minutes door to door but it’s took me almost an hour to get into work.

“It wasn’t just the Kidderminster Road as St John Street and Market Street looked incredibly congested, I diverted through the town to avoid the worst of the delays.”
