RESIDENTS will be getting together tomorrow (Saturday) to give Dodford a ‘Clean for The Queen’ and to enjoy a celebratory barbecue.

Volunteers are being sought for the litterpick and anyone wanting to take part should meet at The Dodford Inn at 10.30am.

There, people will be split into groups and given litterpicking equipment before being given designated areas to clean.

Everyone will then reconvene at the pub between midday and 12.30pm for the free barbecue on the terrace and there will also be games for children to play.

The event has been organised by Dodford Parish Council in conjunction with the pub.

Dodford Inn landlord Dave Myatt said: “We want the pub to become the central hub for the village and tomorrow’s event reflects that.

“It will provide a great opportunity for everyone in the village to get together to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday.”
