VOLUNTEERS who are staffing this year’s Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival are at the ready for the event which officially opens to the public today (Friday).
It has been organised by the Redditch and Bromsgrove branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and runs from midday to 11pm and then from 11am to 9pm tomorrow (Saturday) at Bromsgrove Rugby Club, Finstall Road.
There will be 120 real ales and 50 ciders and perries on offer, with many showcasing local breweries as part of the CAMRA LocAle campaign.
This year, the festival charity, and logo theme is supporting the Worcester-Birmingham and Droitwich Canal Society, which celebrates 200 years of the Worcester-Birmingham canal.
Admission to the festival, including a commemorative festival glass and programme, is £5 and there are discounts for card-carrying CAMRA members.
There will also be live bands playing tonight and tomorrow night.
