Victim injured and cash stolen during Bromsgrove street robbery

A 64-YEAR-OLD man suffered facial injuries and had cash stolen from him during a street robbery in Bromsgrove last night (Saturday).

The victim had parked up near the Police Station, off Slideslow Drive, at 10.20pm and, after leaving his car, was attacked in an nearby alleyway.

The man had been in the William Hill and Betfred betting shops on the High Street and left there about 10pm.

He suffered injuries to his face during the robbery and needed hospital treatment.




Det Sgt Jason Maiden said: “We’d like to speak to people who saw anyone acting suspiciously in William Hill, Betfred or in the area around Police Station Sidewalk.”

Any witnesses, anyone with any information or anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously near the two bookmakers’ should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
