ONE CANDIDATE who should be fine on election night on May 7 with the late night and early morning will be UKIP’s Parliamentary candidate Stuart Cross whose wife Kate has this week given birth to their second child.

Baby Millie Rose, born on Wednesday morning (April 22) at the Alexandra Hospital.

Stuart and Kate also have another daughter – Sophie – who is 15 months old.

And Stuart had plenty of praise for the staff who looked after Kate and the new arrival at the Alex.

“The midwives and all staff have been fantastic, it was not an easy birth but they were brilliant.

“A big thank you to them all.”

It has been a busy few weeks for the town’s party which had a successful public meeting in Fairfield with Stuart and West Midlands MEP James Carver.

Around 40 people turned out to discuss a host of issues, including immigration, the NHS and leaving the EU and whether a referendum would be held.

Stuart spoke about how he would love to see the High street in Bromsgrove attracting people to the town and offering something different than the big precincts, such as the Kingfisher Centre, Bull Ring and Merry Hill.
