TWO MEN in their 20s have been taken to hospital after the car they were in rolled over twice before hitting some traffic lights.
The incident, that left the vehicle ‘banana shaped’ happened in Shenley Lane, Northfield, at 1.15pm this afternoon (Saturday).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said a rapid response vehicle was on scene within three minutes of the call and was backed up by two ambulances.
“The car was on its wheels when ambulance staff arrived.”
One man in the car, who had neck pain and a head injury, got himself out the car and was immobilised before being taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth (QE) Hospital.
The other man was freed by firefighters who removed the roof of the car.
He was also treated for back injuries and was immobilised. before also being taken to the QE for assessment.
