TWO MEN have been arrested in Bromsgrove in connection with an incident in which a car failed to stop for police and was then involved in a crash with two other vehicles.

It happened just before 6pm yesterday (Thursday) when officers attempted to pull over the Peugeot 206 at Junction 4 of the M5.

The car made off and, as it tried to escape, collided with two other vehicles.

All three vehicles were badly damaged but, miraculously, no one was injured.

The man being pursued by police ran off towards Wildmoor Lane.

A 30-year-old man from Newport, Gwent, was found nearby and a quantity of cash and a substance, which police believe to be a class A drug, were seized.

He, after being arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving and dangerous driving, is currently in custody at Kidderminster Police Station, helping police with their inquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
