ALMOST 20 local artists were given the chance to showcase their skills when representatives from hit TV show Britain’s Got Talent came to the Austin Sports and Social Club in Longbridge.

There were 18 acts from Bromsgrove, Rubery, Frankley, Longbridge, Redditch, Sutton Coldfield, Kidderminster and Walsall, including singers, dancers, musicians and magicians.

Tony Maslen, who organised the event, said: “It was a great night where our local acts impressed the BGT production team.

“We managed to get 18 artists performing in two hours – let us hope some of them get to the live television auditions.”
