A RUBERY pensioner who died after a car crash in Bromsgrove has been described as ‘a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother’.
Marguerite Scarle was in the car with her husband and daughter when the collision happened at about 7pm on Saturday (August 23).
They were on their way home from a theatre trip to Malvern and a visit to Hereford when it took place.
A statement issued through the police by the family said: “Marguerite and her husband had recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, in June.
“Marguerite was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be very sadly missed by all of her family.
“The family request that they be given time and privacy to come to terms with their loss.”
Her husband and daughter were taken to Russells Hall Hospital where they were treated for their injuries. Marguerite was pronounced dead following a period of CPR.
Police are still appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which happened on the A491 at the junction with the B4188 in Bell End and the Bell pub.
