THREE more acts have gone through to the semi-finals of the 2015 Search For A Star after the latest heat at Austin Social Club.

Erica Halley, a singer and guitarist from Bromsgrove, wowed the audience with her performance of All About the Bass, Black Horse and Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall, Behind Blue Eyes by The Who and Why I Like Mondays – a song she wrote herself.

Rubery singer Sophie Thompson also got through with her renditions of Mercy, Enough is Enough, Arms of an Angel and Nessun Dorma.

Kyle James Pasmore, who also booked a place in the next round, sang Feeling Good, You give Me Something, All Time Love and Superstion.

Organiser Tony Maslen said: “The competition is really hotting up now – we have seen some fantastic performances and even had two standing ovations.”

There are two more heats – tomorrow (Saturday) and next Saturday (February 28) before the semi-finals on March 7, 14 and 21 and the grand final on March 28.

Doors open at 7pm with the shows starting at 8pm.
