Three through in Austin's Search for a Star and another show-stopping heat tomorrow

THREE more artists are through to the semi-finals of this year’s Search for a Star which is being held at the Austin Sports and Social Club.

Northfield comedienne Lindsey Santoro, singer Chris Turner and Jessica Walton are all firmly in the next round after the last heat.

Lindsey wowed the audience with her observational comedy and Chris Turner did likewise with his performances of ‘Feeling Good’ and ‘Brown-Eyed Girl’. among others.

Jessica took to the stage to sing songs from musical theatre, such as ‘Memory’, ‘I Could Do’ and ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’.




Organiser Tony Maslen said: “The competition is really hotting up and we have three more heats still to come.”

There are still places left in the February 27 heat of the competition and entrants are vying for a top cash prize of £5,000.
