Thousands of pounds worth of tools taken from van in Rednal

A THOUSAND pounds worth of tools were taken from an unlocked Volkswagen Transport van parked off Ashmead Rise in Rednal.

It is believed the thieves opened the vehicle’s side sliding door van before they removed two Mikita and one Dewalt drill, sometime between 10.30pm on September 18 and 1am the next day.

The tools were later found stuffed in a hedge outside the owner’s address.

A second vehicle was targeted on Ashmead Rise, in Rednal, on September 18.




It is believed the thieves approached the blue Volkswagen Passat before they opened the driver’s door, searched the glove box and took a TomTom satnav from inside it.

The incident was reported at 10.40pm on September 18.
