THOUSANDS of pounds worth of jewellery and cash were taken when burglars targeted a home at the top of a cul-de-sac in Marlbrook.
The semi-detached house, in Belle Vue Close, was attacked sometime between 6.20pm and 9.40pm last Friday (September 11).
It is believed the raiders gained entry by going through the back garden before they smashed a glass door, causing £700 worth of damages, and forced the wooden fire door from the garage into the kitchen.
Among the items stolen was £750 in cash and €814, a £400 ladies gold bracelet watch, with a black square face, a pocket watch and a Armani watch with a round face valued at £500.
A bottle of brandy and five 50g pouches of Golden Virginia tobacco were also taken.
