THIS YEAR’S annual fun run in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma has been declared the best one ever after raising more than £13,500 for the charity.
The event, the 26th to be held in the town, was held at Bromsgrove Rugby Club on Sunday (May 11).
Despite it being a cold day, 411 people signed up to run either the 5K or 10K route, with prizes donated by Altered Images.
There was also a host of stalls and a barbecue.
The events have been organised by Nicole Harris whose son Marc lost his fight with leukaemia in 1989.
She told The Standard: “I would like to thank all the participants and all the helpers who came on the day.
“People have been so generous.”
And she added she was now busy planning for the charity’s next event – the Forget-me-not walk on June 8.
Anyone wanting more information on that can call Nicole on 01527 878493.
