A SUPPORT worker from a Bromsgrove-based fostering company was one of the prestigious guests to attend this year’s Royal Garden Party.
FosterTalk’s Jackie Edwards received her invitation to Buckingham Palace after she was nominated by the Department of Education for more than 25 years of services to children, young people and families.
During the day, which was attended by 30,000 people, Jackie and her husband Trevor enjoyed tea, cakes and a lovely stroll in the beautiful royal gardens.
Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Charles also attended the event – Jackie was lucky enough to have the opportunity to talk to him and be congratulated on her achievements by the Prince himself.
Jackie said: “I was honoured and delighted to be invited to attend the Royal Garden Party.
“It was such a beautiful garden with its large lake – it was hard to believe we were in the middle of London.
“We had a truly remarkable day which really was a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget.”
