YOUNGSTERS and their parents from two first schools took part in their first ever Race for Life event at Hanbury Hall.

Hanbury CE First School and Stoke Prior First School brought over 60 children, along with their mums and dads, to complete a two looped, one mile course, to raise cash for Cancer Research.

Every child who finished the course received a medal, which they proudly took into school the next day.

The event organiser Natasha Tandy said she was amazed at the amount of money raised and extremely proud of all the children who took part.

So far the event has raised £1,136 with more sponsorship money due in after the summer holidays.
