KIND-HEARTED staff at a Bromsgrove store have raised more than £550 for their charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.

The employees at Homebase were delighted to have raised enough funds for 20 Macmillan nursing hours through Easter egg donations and goodies over the bank holiday weekend.

Naomi Harper, duty manager at Homebase in Bromsgrove, said: “I’m so proud of my team and the fantastic job they’ve done in raising £550 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

“We had an amazing time in-store and the support from the local community has been incredible.

“So many of us know someone who has been affected by cancer and it means so much to know that we’ve funded 20 hours of Macmillan nursing care.”

After making Macmillan their charity partner last year, Homebase has raised more than £1million in just seven months.

Sarah Callan, partnership manager at Macmillan Cancer Support added: “We want to say a massive well done to the Homebase team in Bromsgrove for raising £550 which will fund 20 hours of vital care from a Macmillan nurse.

“Their efforts will help Macmillan to be there for more people affected by cancer, their families and loved ones too, and will enable us to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

“Thank you.”
