Sports clubs across Bromsgrove and Rubery can get support at expert forum

Bromsgrove Editorial 14th Jan, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

SPORTS clubs from across Bromsgrove District can get free professional support and advice from at a special forum taking place later this month.

The next Bromsgrove and Redditch Sports Club Forum takes place at Redditch Town Hall between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on January 26.

The forums are free events organised by Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Council’s Sports Development Team, aimed at providing a vital platform for local clubs to discuss their needs and identify areas where they need support, such as funding and marketing.

Forum members will receive information and updates on local and national developments, new schemes and campaigns that are being run.

There will also be expert presentations and workshops, advice and support on key topics and challenges facing sports clubs, a chance to meet local council officers and organisations and the opportunity to talk to other clubs so they can share best practice and professional experience.

Christopher Wells, the authorities’ club and coach development officer, said: “The Sports Club Forums are a great way to keep the sporting spirit alive within the local community as well as providing clubs the opportunity to network and learn valuable hints and tips.

“Please get in touch if you think your club could benefit.”

Anyone wanting to find out more or register their interest about going along to one of the forums should e-mail [email protected] or call Chris Wells on 01527 534008.
