YOUNGSTERS from Play Days Playgroup and the Plus 2s, based at St Stephen’s Church in Rednal, took part in alternative Halloween themed activities.
They were aimed at helping the children, aged up to four, learn and have fun but were not too scary.
The little ones got to try pumpkin soup at snacktime and helped carve a pumpkin.
Storytime was based on Julia Donaldson’s Room on a Broom and The Gruffalo and craft sessions saw the children make their own witches’ hats, masks and Gruffalos.
Some also decorated biscuits using sparkly bits, orange icing and pumpkin shaped ice shapes.
