EXHIBITIONS, a barn dance, a Court Leet procession, concerts and more will all be among the highlights of the second week of the new-look Bromsgrove Festival.
Tonight (Friday), there will be a family barn dance, courtesy of Meadow Park Football Club and Bromsgrove Cricket Club.
That event – at the cricket club in Aston Fields, will feature a performance by the 5 Bar Gait Band and there will be food and a bar available on the night.

The annual Bromsgrove Art Exhibition begins tomorrow (Saturday) and runs until July 5.
That, at All Saints Church, Birmingham Road, has been organised by Bromsgrove Art Society and features a host of pictures, paintings and artwork done by local art clubs, societies and artists.

The Court Leet procession will begin at 10.30am tomorrow (Saturday) and, as well as the proclamation of the Charter of King John and assize of the bread, leather and ale at 11am, there will also be the annual Elizabethan Fayre in the High Street.
A Textile Arts Exhibition will also take place – from 10am to 5pm tomorrow (Saturday) and between 10am and 4pm on the Sunday (June 22). That, celebrating the work of students attending courses taken by Edwina Mackinnon and Ineke Berlyn, will be at the Avoncroft Arts Centre, Redditch Road, Stoke Heath.
Work includes original designs from sketchbook to cloth using a variety of design techniques.

The Midsummer Celebrity Chamber Concert by The Midland Sinfonia takes place at 7.30pm tomorrow (Saturday) at St Laurence Church in Alvechurch.
Violinists Shulah Oliver and Richard Laing, Annie Beilby on viola, Richard Jenkinson on Cello and pianist Allan Schiller will perform Dvorak’s Piano Quartet in A and Schubert’s Quartet in D minor ‘Death and the Maiden.
Tickets are £13, accompanied children go free and registered unemployed and students will be admitted for £5.

The Sanders Park Bandstand Programme, organised by Bromsgrove District Council, continues on Sunday (June 22).
A variety of choirs will perform at the free event from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, including the Rock Choir, the Primrose Choir, Bromsgrove Community Choir and the Songstars Showchoir from Artrix.
And rounding off the weekend will be Some Corner of a Foreign Field.
That takes place at Hanbury Church, Astwood Lane, off School Road, in Hanbury, at 3.30pm on Sunday (June 22).
The passionate and inspiring concert by the Elgar Chorale and Dr Donald Hunt OBE with James Butterfield and David Brookshaw will see a performance of specially selected pieces to mark the centenary of the start of the First World War.
